WHAT WE DO TO HELP
MIND-BODY HEALING PROGRAM
Embracing Inner Beauty
Approximately, 65% of individuals undergoing chemotherapy will experience chemotherapy-induced hair loss.
Radiation therapy can also cause hair loss on the part of the body that is being treated.
It can be very devastating to lose hair especially due to an illness, such as cancer.
We offer headscarves, hats, and beanies to individuals who have experienced hair loss due to cancer treatment.
The Mind-Body Healing Program is a great service specialized for individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer to help bring more self-care into their daily routines.
Services include mindfulness & guided meditation, yoga, reiki & energy healing, breathing techniques, and 1:1 coaching sessions.
5 Sessions are available on Zoom for 30 minutes at a prearranged day and time.
Merline was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Breast Cancer in October 202 and has been battling ever since.
She strives to work on her physical and mental strength on a daily basis after what felt like a lifetime of chemotherapy treatments.
Throughout her journey, she has struggled with unrelenting pain due to treatment and has a continuous increase in medical bills.
Warrior Expressions Foundation reached out to Merline and she received headscarves and participated in our 5 virtual Mind-Body Healing sessions with our Director, Dr. Christen Scott, to help her cope and use tools to help improve her current situation.
"Let me start off by saying Dr. Christen Scott is heaven-sent. I'm so thankful for my sessions and I honestly look forward to our meetings. Dr. Scott is so helpful and knowledgeable. I told her I suffered from insomnia, and she did exercises with me, sent me articles, and gave me different tools to try. I told her I had pain and Dr. Scott did her research and sent me stretches to help. I honestly feel like I'm catching up with a friend when we meet. Dr. Scott makes you feel comfortable and just all-around great. I would definitely recommend the Mind-Body Healing sessions.
Thank you Warrior Expressions Foundation."
